Our suspended system delivers a worktop supported by cantilever steel frame system. The cupboard and drawer units are suspended from horizontal rails beneath the worktop. Each of the under-bench units have been designed to provide clear access to the floor for cleaning. The advantages of our suspended system include;
The worktops are supported directly on the cupboard units. It is of robust construction and does not require any supporting steelwork to support worktops. It is particularly suitable for laboratories which need an economical layout and where flexibility is not required.
Access to the service void is via the removable back panels of the cupboard units and knee spaces. Floor covering can be coved to skirting to form a clean and sealed area. The system advantages include;
In our cantilever system design the worktop is supported by a steel framing system and the under-bench units are independent. Cupboard and drawer units can be placed were required and easily repositioned at a later date if the laboratory layout needs re- adjusting. Mobile units can also be used with the cantilever system to allow regular movement of units for lay-out changes or cleaning purposes.
Worktop widths are from 600mm to 900mm for wall benches and from 700mm to 1800mm for peninsula and island benches, however any widths required can be catered for. Worktops are standard 920mm high in laboratories, and 720/750mm high for write up benches, however other heights are also available.
Trespa TopLabPLUS is manufactured using a process (including EBC technology) that Trespa International BV has developed and patented. Trespa TopLabPLUS is a self-supporting flat panel with a cellulose fibre reinforced phenolic resin core. Each panel has an integrated, decorative surface based on pigmented, electron beam cured resins which are resistant to the most aggressive chemicals, and easy to clean and maintain.
Low Maintenance – The closed surface of Trespa Toplab practically withstands dirt accumulation, keeping it smooth and easy to clean.
Testing and Certification – Trespa products for scientific surface solutions are tested and certified according to international standards in relation to chemical resistance, antibacterial performance, low emission, food contact and decontamination.
Epoxy Resin is the modern laboratory benchtop material that offers a superb combination of features and benefits. It is durable, extremely chemical and stain resistant, mechanically strong, easily cleaned and decontaminated and exhibits good fire resistance and fire propagation properties. As cast by Simmons it is a solid material that cannot delaminate and has the same properties throughout its entire thickness. It is moulded into a wide range of components of different sizes to cater for the most exacting of laboratory specifications, and is available in a range of subtle and aesthetically pleasing colours.
